Andrew is an internationally renown tap dance educator. Dubbed the “King of the analogy” and a “Tap Dance Philosopher” Andrew has a unique way of translating the abstract craftwork of tap dance into more tangible and meaningful terms. In addition to workshops, master classes, and speaking engagements, Andrew is involved in these education-focused projects.
Tap Into Freedom is a complete tap dance education platform designed by Andrew Nemr and based heavily on the contributions of Henry LeTang, Steve Condos, Jimmy Slyde, and Gregory Hines. Monthly webinars (FREE), private coaching – in person or online, and an annual summer intensive provide an amazing resource for tap dancers who are looking to dive deep into the craftwork and find their own voice.
What happens when tap dancers start sharing their personal stories while tap dancing to popular music? You grab the attention of students from grades 5-12, that is the power of the arts. We can capitalize on that opportunity to have an open discussion of the challenging topic of bullying and intimidation. Come Together does just that. Featuring the true stories of Cats Paying Dues company members along with emotional dancing and popular music, Come Together opens the doors for the deeper discussions necessary to try to heal the generations currently grappling with these issues.
