Co-founded by Andrew Nemr and Gregory Hines in 2002, the Tap Legacy™ Foundation’s mission is to preserve and advance the art of tap dance thorough the preservation, support, and promotion of the oral tradition.
Based on his personal experience with many of the recognized tap dance legends Tap Into Freedom’s curriculum is designed to provide tap dancers with the tools they need to explore the craft and discover their own voice. This is done through a combination of personal coaching/training, online resources, and live events.
A duo project with hammered dulcimer virtuoso Max ZT. Andrew and Max share a parallel journey of pushing their respective crafts while honoring the traditions. Their collaboration multiplies their individual virtuosity and brings to light a shared exuberance in playing that is contagious.
A tap dance company founded by Andrew Nemr in 2005, Cats Paying Dues has presented a unique vision of ensemble tap dancing, tap dance as a vehicle for education, and the training of professional tap dancers.
